Sure they will; they’ll experience the leveling process from and if they enjoy leveling, they can always start an alt and go through it. Well of course, but then again, if they allow you to buy the 90 boosts, we could have a bunch of people at level who don’t know how to play their class, more than there already is.

At least make the 90 boosts one per server, or have a limit to them, so you can’t have a full account of level 90’s and have no idea how to play. And then they have ten levels while they level up to learn the ins and outs of their class. But at you said, there are already a lot of people at max level who have no idea how to play their class, so it’s not like it’s new. And if people want to drop the money to get 11 toons to 90, that is up to them and we have no right to dictate how they play.

I guess you have more of a point than I do. You beat me in this one! Missed the stark staring obvious that this will reduce the numbers levelling which will mean that alt-levellers like myself will get less of the MMO experience that we paid for. Still, the real question after the free insta’s are released I would assume that the price would dictate the popularity of purchasing insta’s.

So if the cost is higher, I would guess that this will keep the amount of purchases lower. I guess we will see after all this gets rolled out what the real impact will be, since anything we state now regardless of what side of the argument you are on is purely speculation. I don’t know how I feel about this On one hand, I understand the necessity for Blizzard to encourage new players to join and get old ones back, but those of us who took the time to grind all the way to 90 Some of us more than just one — I have 11!

I’m not gonna QQ about it because some friends of mine want to play but don’t want to level, and that way we’ll all be on the same page but still, it’s a little unnerving when you put so much work into something to find that new people have it instantly easier. I don’t like the idea of multiple level 90’s being bought.

If they enjoy the leveling process from , they shouldn’t just rinse and repeat if they have the money to do it. Half of the game is leveling your character to the max level, essentially, this is removing a large portion of the game.

It isn’t complicated at all. If the current state, where you gain the majority of justice point and valor points through the random queue systems, then those of us who actually played the game correctly are going to be forced to carry these incapable 90’s around content JUST SO WE can experience it ourselves. The insta 90 is not going to suddenly make the player base worse, nor will it force those of us who can play to “carry” any more than we do now.

The current ‘bad’ players aren’t bad because they got boosted, they are ‘bad’ for myriad other reasons – I am sure we all have or own opinions on this point. The same will be true of ‘boosted’ 90’s. Those players who choose to know the class, to learn it and play well, will do so regardless of level boost.

Those who choose to play a Holy priest tank who only knows Holy Nova – will continue to do so, regardless of level. Personally, I think the player base has gotten worse over the last few expacs.

But not necessarily worse in skill; worse in behavior. The majority of people are really just awful. Unless you have or can find a good group to play and level with, you aren’t going to have a good time. Let’s see Blizz try to fix that. Give us some kind of tool to encourage players to treat each other better, and discourage Trolls, FPS-migrants, and all around tool-bags. No, it’s just a wild rumour. Lawl, buying a level 90 😀 Here it comes the stupidity Why is it stupid for a player to want to get to 90 to play with their friends in WoD immediately?

Everyone is harping on the free 90 s – but I want to know more about the first paragraph here, celebrating the 10th anniversary : As someone who started playing when Cata launched, I missed all the cool anniversary presents and I feel gypped!

Fireworks and “celebration package” just don’t do it for me, I want to see a cool pet or something permanent to celebrate. After all, 10 years is a big thing, do something awesome for us ; Oh, and, I most likely won’t use a 90 boost, I can’t pick up and learn a class that far along, I need a gradual build up of skills as I level thru questing, but that’s just me. The same with timeless isle gear though free epics are no longer epic, really , selling 90’s does seem to send a message that developers consider ‘old’ content irrelevant and a waste of time.

I’m pretty sure the developers simply realize that players just don’t really want to do older content, or if they do, it’s simply for achievements which you do only once and transmog gear which you only do until you get what you want. You can go back and experience the lore at max level if you so choose. Other then that, the developers did say they were working on creating challenge modes for older raids.

And lets face it, the main content that World of Warcraft offers is it’s raids, its dungeons. Now it’s scenarios. Selling level 90s at that point simply means the developers consider the old grind up to level 90 “irrelevant and a waste of time”, rather then the content itself. Also, you do realize that the level 90 boost doesn’t just plant you in Stormwind or Orgrimmar with a filled Spellbook and expect you to know exactly what to do.

You’ll have a starting area similar to the Death Knight’s starting experience, where you earn spells, talents, and abilities a little at a time. I disagree with everyone saying an insta 90 is Bad idea and that it takes away from the progression of the toon ie. I’ve now spent many hours levelling and gearing on everyone of my 90s I’ve had to change my play style to fit the expansion, patch and level. No one plays the same way at 90 as they did at 60,70or So why not let new players start at level 90 if they didn’t they wouldn’t be playing the same way at the max level as they did levelling anyway Agreed.

I have to say this too, just because I have leveled 9 toons to 90 doesn’t mean that other people myself included with the free 90 getting free 90’s takes anything away from what I had to do. I look at it as making it easier for me, and others, that have already “paid their dues”.

So, instead of just 9 90’s I’ll have a least 10 ‘s when the Xpac comes out maybe more on different servers where some of my other friends are. Just because the insta’s didn’t need to level from doesn’t take anything away from what you have done with your characters.

When I see someone say something like this: “those of us who took the time to grind all the way to 90 Some of us more than just one — I have 11! But, I highly doubt that the majority of people with insta’s or paid’s are going to be people that haven’t ALREADY gone through the grind at least once.

I dont like the idea of being able to buy levels. While leveling can be boring at times for those of us that have to many lvl 90’s its part of the game you see the world and learn some Lore. If Blizzard really want to help why not bring out a potion that grants more xp while you level. This is just not true, I leveled a monk to 90 using 2 buttons the entire time. Jab and the other one that uses the points you build up. If you are a dps or healer, you can queue for dungeons and most of the time get at least a tank, or dps who are fullly hierloomed who basically solo the dungeon while you barely keep up, let alone have time to do anything more than your 1 attack.

When I ran dungeons with my monk, I did nothing but the spinning kick thing. You learn almost nothing about your spec while leveling up. You can easily level a feral druid using nothing but mangle etc. RAF is basically the same thing anyway. I am all in favor of Blizzard selling this service, but I would probably never use it.

First off, I have my 11 90s already, and soon my alliance The free one I get will be a bonus, not sure what to do with that one. There are still a bunch of low level alliances zones I have never seen, and a few other zones from Being an 8 year player with 11 90s almost 12, which I have done on my own with no cheap recruit a friend or any leveling boost at all whatsoever this makes me sad.

I see this as just a cheap way for blizzard to get money, but can’t change it. What I also see happening is since these new players are broke they will be spamming trade more often begging for gold, which quite frankly no one likes a beggar it is very frustrating for those of us who worked for it. Also I have a fear that it will bring about more people that buy gold to get by instead of grinding like the rest of us had to just for the fact that they are broke and doing this blizzard will be almost enticing the new players that don’t know how to earn it on their own to buy gold.

Think about how bad lfr is now with how it will be when there is an influx of new level 90s that have no idea what they are doing death knight zone did not save lfr from bad death knights what makes blizzard think the game wont go to hell now because of this. Idk about everyone else, but I do remember in lich king when the dk starting area came out and doing outland was almost a plague due to the terrible players that were queing for dungeons just because they could que as tank even tho they knew nothing of what they were doing.

This will be very similar imagine while leveling to when we all get to see all these people that can’t pull enough damage out because they didn’t take the time to do some research on their classes before queing or get the hang of it doing the new dungeons and holding us all back I sure as heck can.

So, what do you think about those who have leveled using boosts and RAF? After quitting wow and never planning to come back I decided, while bored, to check out how wowhead was doing When did blizzard trade mark the word soon? Obviously its for a good laugh Or is this new? The trade mark is part of the joke. This site makes extensive use of JavaScript. Please enable JavaScript in your browser.
