Howdy, I have a type of Enforcer build that I’ve been playing with, focusing on taking and dealing damage as it’s main focus. Right now I’m mostly settled on the skills themselves but could tweak some depending on any weapon or skill rebalances come in the future.
This build mostly focuses on using the LMG’s as it’s bread and butter, I may drop Overkill basic if I’m not using shotguns often enough. But right now I’m having some trouble deciding on if I should be using the Muscle or the Infiltrator perk deck, and I’ve done some math and am leaning toward Infiltrator, but I figured I should get some second opinions.
Please correct my math if I’m wrong, but with my build I came up with these data points: Also I didn’t include the Underdog skill in my calculations cause I would have it either way. Muscle No per deck damage resistance health armor combined health and armor More armor that regens faster than health. Enemies don’t panic and can keep shooting. So overall they feel very close and I can’t really decide which I should go for.
I’m already used to playing Infiltrator a lot from before Grinder came out, and Muscle does feel like the health regen is a bit sluggish. Muscle wins out more often in the total punishment it can take, and Infiltrator only has it’s damage resitance work when enemies are in at least medium range.
However Infiltrator can take more punishment to armor before health, so I would need to go in cover potentally less often. Also I’m not looking to make this build Deathwish viable, but if you want to say anything about Deathwish your free to do so. Muscle or Infiltrator? Last edited by Fluoride ; 9 Nov, pm. Drop it and get Shotgun CQB basic if you’re going to be using shotguns. Saw skills are bad. Don’t buy them unless you absolutely need a saw for whatever you’re doing, and even then you should only take portable saw basic. Fully Loaded aced is good, but if you use special shotgun ammo or an LMG, it’s not needed right now. Debatably worth it on fugiforcer or ghostforcer. Ghost Tree: Aced Cat Burglar doesn’t really have much appeal with a health regen deck.
Basic at most is okay. Martial Arts aced is not worth it for your build. Perk Deck Clarification: Panic doesn’t make cops jump, they sort of squat down and rub their head with their hands for a second or two. The deck you bring should change based on the job. Are you going to be in mostly confined areas? Infiltrator is a good choice because you’ll always be near cops to get your sweet damage reduction bonus and hit them for health.
Muscle is a solid deck for every occasion though. Probably a bit too strong right now. Mod for maximum accuracy and use bipod whenever possible. Secondary shotgun means you’re either bringing the Loco or the Judge.
Street Sweeper is bad unless you’ure slow-firing explosive slugs, but the Judge is a better explosive platform imo. Loco should only be used with regular ammo.
I wasn’t really looking for critique on the skill build itself, but thanks for going through it. I am aware and agree with many of the points you brought up, but generally everything I picked I did for a reason.
I pay attention to the meta, but I don’t follow it as a hard rule. Yeah, your build is pretty solid, just not super “optimal”. I wouldn’t bring it into DW, but it’s more than adequate for anything else. If you’re not attached to shotgun secondary, I’d ditch the shotgun skills and pick up the SMG reload boost, use Krinov as your secondary. It’s basicaly a pocket AR that does 80 damage and even procs disturbing the peace if you’re running muscle! Last edited by Wales Grey ; 9 Nov, pm. When I’m not bringing a saw I’m bringing the Loco with this build.
But I’m asking more about which perk deck would be better with the build than the build itself. Originally posted by Isaak :. I would recommend Muscle over Infiltrator. Muscle allows you to hide up and regen, while Infiltrator requires you to find a melee target, which exposes you to even more potential damage. Usually players get reckless and that’s how they sustain health damage in the first place. Needing to regenerate health by charging into the killzone is just going to get you down.
In any case, here’s my breakdown Usage Muscle, allows regen passively. That means you could switch with a team mate anytime when you’re low. You could fix drills, move bags, or regen during the Fade phase when enemies are all trying to despawn.
Now putting Infiltrator in that position, you’re either looking for a stray target or charging straight into battle with low health and is asking to be downed. Team mates doing objectives might be distracted to revive you. Of course Infiltrator can be exploited as well. You can melee the AI heisters not sure if this is changed or melee Jokers at a reduced damage to regen.
Allows you to fight at all distance with regen. Disturbing the Peace is improved in the current weapon balance beta, which allows all weapons to proc. If it passes, you can have more variety than the current build. Infiltrator gives more regen but puts you in more potential dangers. Extra armour to tank 1 to 2 shots is useful provided you watch your armour in combat and not wait till it’s flashing red.
Forces you to play with melee which is fun. Overall Infiltrator is the armour version of Grinder and less suicidal version of Yakuza. If you’re confident to run with Infiltrator, go ahead. A game is meant to be fun, that’s why most play loud on Overkill and not Deathwish. But my final verdict is, stick with Muscle.
Infiltrator is lacking in every aspect at the moment. Bob View Profile View Posts. I would prefer more likely Muscle – why? Last edited by Bob ; 17 Nov, am. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 8 Nov, pm.
