Sort By. Forum Actions. Report Post. I’ve experienced within the past few months a few problems with the video drivers, mostly just a blank screen. With this last driver update, I was not able to reset the video by deleting the driver in safe mode and reinstalling from NVIDIA’s website. Using the DDU v I still don’t have a working video driver. I think it may be Microsoft’s latest patch that has squashed compatibility.

Hope my information helps. Nvidia driver versions loaded: This has been going on for almost two months now. I have updated every driver in my system and am currently using version I even completely replaced the hard drive and did a clean install with a brand new Windows 7 Professional SP1 disk. Both put a strain on the video card and that seems to cause the issue more often than not. I’ve been hoping that another driver update would solve the problem, but no such luck.

Any suggestions? Can I roll the driver back to an earlier version where that didn’t happen? I could use any help you might have. Psalamos said: loligater said: Maybe that is the cause of the blue screen? That the driver begins installing because it detects my eligible but then fails while setting up my ?

I just pointed my at the old driver I suppose two drivers are installed now. I will post back with any abnormalities. Final Update: The worked flawlessly. I take it this is what happens when a driver is tricked into being installed with unsupported cards. However their installer should check for this initially; allowing itself to install with a and a unsupported leading to BSODs is a bug.

An old was the culprit which is no longer supported as of Removal of this card and all traces of Nvidia from the system and a reinstall of the latest drivers worked Incidentaly, the latest drivers So guys Glad I could help, sorry you can no longer use your I am bummed too, I had that and a I was using for small machines.

Technically it doesn’t matter, they can run out-of-date drivers since it doesn’t present any sort of security concern. Guess they just get retired to old Linux boxes now. I’ve sent it to ASUS for repare 2 times but the problem is not gone This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time. Edit: Sorry double post.

NVGareth said: Hmm, haven’t seen other reports of that particular issue, but I would suspect something corrupted in Windows. Have you tried a system restore to a point before it started? What about doing a clean removal of the existing drivers with DDU first? Let me see what I can find I already done clean uninstalling Nvidia driver with DDU on safe mode. Help me please.. Ive got the same issues today, the cursor begun behaving weirdly and I got “video tdr failure” message and computer restarted.

After computer restarted it only got to log in page and turned all black or blue. I thought this was another Win10 problem so I reinstalled Win7 which has always worked before but as soon as I install nvidia drivers, computer restarts and windows never comes up.

Just a light blue screen and computer dies. It was an awful experience, and the crashes kept going and going like the energizer playboy bunny. It’s not the new driver that caused the problem per se. It’s that the installation exposed registry corruption and now even if you go back to the old driver, it’s still going to crash! BSOD still occurs even on 32 bit and 64 bit.

I have updated my BIOS but still nothing happens. What is wrong with the drivers? It works fine before but now everything is a mess. Im now using intel graphics card.
