Not sure what to do I left it, thinking one day Windows update might sort it. I thought brill and updated it. After restart the message was still there, I have restarted it a couple of times, each time the message appears. I click on update software, and it scans, then says the driver software for your device is up to date. This thread is locked. I did try futher in comatibility mode as suggested before I ran it. It said the resolution needs changing, shall we change it for a better experiance.

I am puzzled at that as it was changed last time. It shows installation progress, but I don’t think it’s installing, as after I am back to square one. Surely also if I installed once it should say it’s installed and doesn’t need re installation. I understand the issue that you are facing and I appreciate you for providing details about the issue. If the issue still persists please do get back us with information on the error if any. Back on the desktop and the above message still shows.

I checked in device manager and there was still a conflict showing, but it says driver installed correctly. The massage still appeared, in re checking device manager the conflict has gone.

I would like to report that I am in the exact situation as the original poster, with the same exact symptoms. I have followed every advice given to no avail. In another forum it was suggested, using DDU to clear out any and every driver that was installed and then reinstalling the latest drivers from the AMD site.

DDU is a marvel, I tried it, and after using it the message had gone. It had then used default display drivers, I re installed the AMD catalyst and the message came back. I used DDU again, the message had gone. So I thought that’ll do for me, no problems to report since. Yes, thank you again : Now upgrading another HP Pavillion dv7 to W10, let’s see if this one has the same problem.

In the end, after upgrading that another HP to W10, it is now really good and fast. Before upgrading it was terrible slow, now we have like a brand new laptop :.
